Toyota 4Runner Trunk Hook Replacement

This is a replacement for the trunk hangers for my 2015 Toyota 4Runner Limited. It is the same design (symmetrical) for both sides.

I have a dog cover that has straps that always fell off when using the stock hangers, so I created this to address that. Seems to work good so far.

To remove the original, just squeeze the sides and a little flap opens downward. Inside is a single bolt. Remove the bolt and the whole thing comes right off. The new part is a little tight with a crescent wrench, but a socket and ratchet might work better.

I think it is the same design for all makes and for years 2015-2019 at least, but that has not been confirmed. Leave a comment if yours looks like the photo and/or if this part fits.
