Toyota Highlander phone mount

I like these magnetic phone mounts like Wizgear, but I do not like gluing the mount that comes with them to the dash of my Toyota Highlander. Now the newer Highlanders comes with this “dashboard shelve” that you can lay your phone on. Beneath the dash-shelve there are USB ports for loading and the cables can be fed though an opening with a removable cover.
I designed this mount seats into that opening and is kept in place by a bolt that is mounted on the counter-side by a cover on the bottom of the shelve. The mount has a slot for a counter-nut.
I ordered a Wizgear mount and only use the magnetic head…DONE!

Added Mount V3. This version has a much simpler design and will position the magnetic mount higher to provide better clearance between phone and shift-knob when putting the car into park.
