Cooling fan mount for Wi-Fi router TP-Link Archer C64.

This is a cheap router and it is generally not too bad, but sometimes it overheats and starts to slow down. Some chips have heatsinks, and there is an aluminum thermal distribution plate on the back of the board, but it is not enough.

This mounting thing is installed in place of the bottom of the case, which is held on by latches. This allows you to install a thin 80mm fan (aka 8015). You will also need some rubber feet, the air intake is from below.

Since the device does not require too much cooling, some optional circuitry can be used to reduce fan speed and noise. Originally I planned to find a 5 volt regulator on the board and use it, but it looks like there are only 3.3 and 1.8 volts. So I just used a 100 ohm resistor (at least 1 watt) and it works fine for me.
You can use a 24 volt fan powered by 12 volts, this should also work fine.
