I had tried the original and the model was fine, but I figured I'd probably leave this in my car and didn't want it to melt if made from PLA. I thought about using ASA but didn't want to rig the printer for high temps. Then I saw my TPU 95A sitting on the shelf and thought… maybe. I split the model down the middle and duplicated the half with the corner retention pieces, ditching the mid-frame supports. This basically creates a little pocket in each corner. Since I had my 0.6mm nozzle installed from a prior print I yolo'd it and even at 0.3mm layer height TPU bridges these tiny lines just fine. Would print equally as well with a 0.4mm nozzle and standard 0.2mm layer height. Now that the printed model can flex you can pop the card in the pockets and it self-reinforces - any pulling on the walls only makes it hold the card tighter. Might work in a rigid material if your card can be flexed to fit in, I'll have to try it in PETG-CF and see how it goes.
