Saw there was a competition running for everyone's favorite corner in the morning, the coffee corner! I initially started designing a tray to hold my coffee syrups but after seeing how much material it would've used I decided to scrap the idea as buying one online made more sense. So after looking around my coffee (and tea) corner my eye fell on the tea set I brought back from my last trip to China. I loved the set but it didn't have any drip tray if you spill while pouring. So I decided to design myself a drip tray for my classic chinese tea set for my coffee corner! I went decided to make the tray 200x200mm to fit my 4 cups and tea pot. It also hold 4 small italian espresso cups. It does take quite a long time to print but the results are great! I was very surprised to see that with the traditional wave insert it even has a little optical illusion and look 3D! The insert has 2 little finger holes on the sides so you can easily reach in and lift out the tray! :) The base plate prints in around 2.5 hours, while the wavy insert prints in 3.5 hours. I would've loved to print it in some marble PLA with a wood PLA insert but I didn't have those filaments laying around.
