Wooden railways are great fun but they shouldn't be seen as simply a younger child's version of an electric train set (nor as a boy's toy rather than a girl's toy). Electric trains are operated remotely, but wooden trains are very much hands on - the youngster has to make the decision as to which direction the train will take at a junction, for example, and physically push the train in that direction.
I've collected my information from a number of sources and from the Little Shop of Knowledge.
I have test fitted the parts to Imaginarium train set, Melissa & Doug train set and to Disney's Cars wooden roads, and the fit perfectly.
In the download section, you can find the original SketchUp drawing file, and you can play with it, assemble sets and what not before you go ahead and print parts.
I have not made the parts "reversible", so, you have to print "left" and "right" parts. In all my attempts, the track when printed "reversible" was not smooth, which made me opt for sing
