This is an acrylic model of a transaxle (a combination of transmission and differential) as found on the back end of nearly every car (except dual-engine electric cars), made from laser-cut acrylic. It should be possible to make using an ordinary desktop laser cutter able to cut 1/4" (6mm) acrylic. Photos and videos can be seen at http://mechanicalgifs.com
