This is not my first Transistor Tester, so this is not my first attempt to make a case for it.
When I put my hands on this kit from Hackerboxes #18 (http://www.instructables.com/id/HackerBoxes-0018-Circuit-Circus/), quite compact but packed with different tools like frequency and voltage meters, etc, I wanted to take a different approach from traditional/bulky cases and make a light, minimalistic base to accomodate the pcb and the 9v battery, still allowing access to external power adapter when necessary (replacing the 9v battery).

This is how I accomplished it, using a printrbot simple metal 3d Printer with black PLA (but you can have it your own way with different material and color).

I don't really like metal-plastic friction, so I use four M3 x 5mm x 5.3mm Brass Inset nuts (
Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/yavo62ou) with four M3-0.5 Metric 6mm Length Screws (Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/ya6s3gjd) for a perfect fit.
