Trash Can Bag Clip - Parameterized

UPDATE 02/2021: I have released v2 after testing for a bit. The original had a tendency to tear the bag and be difficult to remove. The updated version is much easier to remove due to the tab and extended outer part below the curve. I do suggest printing it in something either flexible or at 100% infill. I have cracked two putting them on.


I got tired of the trash bag falling into the can after my son accidentally threw out the included extra large rubber band. So I decided to design and print a simple clip to hold the bag in place.

The trash can I have is shown in the thumbnail, and it has an inner metal can and the bag goes into that then the pretty outer shell is lowered over it. The inner steel can has the top rolled over to blunt it, and it's about 7mm in diameter. The clip snaps on to that and then the long side is rotated into the can, holding the bag in place.

I printed four of them and they seem to be doing the job.
