Trash Can Safety Lock

A simple latch for foot pedal style trash cans to keep pets (or small children) out of the trash. I used 3/16" aluminum rod (4mm would probably work) as the hinge pin and double sided tape to attach.

I printed in PETG for durability, but I'm sure PLA would work fine also.

For best results, use supports, print the latch on its side and the catch and base flat
