If you are here you are either curious or desperately looking for a small joystick (maybe because you want to hide your cravings for virtual flights to your loved ones, or maybe because you are a businessman, always far from your home computer). In any case let me introduce you to my pocket, travel compatible joystick !

It features not one, not two but THREE push buttons and tree axis (X, Y & throttle) with the possibility to swap the X axis for a Z axis (in order to control the yaw while taxiing on the ground for instance) by pressing on the fourth button. All axis use digital sensors (Hall effect sensor for X and Y and a rotary encoder for the throttle).

To manage your expectations I have to tell you that from a mechanical standpoint, this design is terrible: the springs do not provide a very good feeling and the joystick will often not return correctly to its centre position (I think this could be fixed by using stronger springs).
