Traxxas EZ Start Adapter

I find one of the most frustrating things companies do is make products that only work with their parts. Yeah I get that it is a good business strategy and all but it still doesn’t change the fact that it is annoying. Anyway I have been into RC for a long time and one company that does this the most is traxxas. I wanted to use one of the EZ start systems on one of my trucks for a remote start system I was installing, this truck was not traxxas which posed some problems. Instead of using the almost universal standard of a 12mm one-way bearing for the starting system they had some sort of oval with 2 flat sides. I was just going to buy one of these on way clutches from traxxas but they decided to change the shaft size from 6mm (standard) to 8mm. This led me to build this inset that adapts to a standard 12mm one-way bearing solving this issue. Haha take that corporate the 21st century has brought the power of manufacturing to the average user.
