This is a simple tool I imagined. Having been a geometry teacher at the breakout of Geometry SketchPad I've been frustrated by the limitation to leverage this powerful tool for students who are visually impaired. Triangle interdependence of angle and side measurements is an important concept that creates foundation for triginometry and higher level math.
3 prints of this tool with a bolt and wing nut allows an individual to adjust sides and angle and using the tactile measurement guides along the edges a blind individual can gain immediate impact of their transformations. More simply a person learns that they can not alter any given side or angle without loosening more than one wing nut!
This is version 2.0. I would love to see someone adapt the bolt hole to hold a magnet or pushpin and then a slider one could lock in the channel so that the tool would become a compass as well! The foundation is there, but I'm just learning.
