Tripod bracket for a GMKtec G5 Mini PC

This bracket is used to hold a GMKtec G5 mini PC to the leg of a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer GTI tracking telescope mount. For intermediate astrophotography a PC is frequently used to control the mount, guider, focuser and camera. The G5 is only $138 on Amazon as of July 2025. This little device has an N97 CPU, 12GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and Windows 11 Pro so it can do remote desktop. Users frequently run N.I.N.A. to control their telescope rig.

This bracket has two holes for the M2x6 hex bolts that screw into the G5. The arm on the Sky Watcher tripod is 32mm and the bracket will fit that. I used a rubber band on the curved part to increase the friction a little to reduce the chance of it sliding around since the tripod leg is very smooth.

I printed my with PETG because it has a little give to it. I would also consider ASA for its better outdoor properties. PLA may not work as well for this functional part.
