tripod webcam gantry

a friend asked me to make an articulating mount for a webcam that attaches to a tripod. depending on the length of the gantry, you may need to add a piece of 2020 extrusion or 20mm square tube to attach a counterweight with the included hook design. a photo later today.

The vivitar quick mount has a hole spacing of 21mm and works on several other brands of tripod.

The camera mount plate is designed to take a 1/4-20 bolt or star knob... I am using a furniture leveling foot as a knob. the thread should stick out about 15mm from whatever knob/bolt you use so it will protrude 5mm from the top of the mount. I undersized the hole so it would be naturally captive.
