14 September 2025 Update:
Added mount for generic LM393 H2010 style infrared encoder
I discovered the encoder mount was slightly too close to the encoder wheel axis, so in some cases the encoder wouldn't read properly. The REV4 version of the file increase the wheel axis to encoder distance by about 1.5mm, which appears to work more reliably.
Description:
I needed motor mounts to attach the ubiquitous cheapo "TT motor" - yellow gearmotors - to a laser cut acrylic Olimex robotics platform.
Designed to use M3 screws & washers to attach to the robot platform, and M3 screws with trapped M3 nuts to attach the motor to the mount. I only used 1 of 2 screw locations per motor, seemed solid enough so I didn't both with the 2nd screw.
The file includes a mirrored copy to allow a nice symmetry to your bot.
Solidworks files are included for your remixing fun!
I printed using PLA with 0.2mm layer height, 50% infill.
