My kitchen door had no doorbell. So when people come knocking at that door I do not hear it most of the time when I am not on the ground floor. I got this Tuya Zigbee IP55 button to solve this problem.Coupled through Home Assistant this button can activate any alarm you like.I use a ReoLink Chime for this purpose as I already had this for my ReoLink front doorbell.Just a simple automation in HASS and it works great.I did use a different sound for the Kitchen door so I know where to go. Just sticking the button on the kitchen door might not be clear enough that it is a doorbell so I mande this base to hopefully give this clue.Though Tuya button is rainwater proof I still did like the idea of a drip water protection for it so the bell shape does do this job. Printed in PETG.Not ideal for outdoor but good enough to last a couple of years.ASA would be way better, but I only have Black ASA so it's PETG for now. The bell is hollow, but does not need support.
