UBiQUiTi EdgeRouter LITE Rackmount Adapter

SUMMARY:
The AX_RackMountAdapter is a well refined 3D printable design to be used as an interface between, otherwise incompatible, UBiQUiTi EdgeRouter LITE and ER-RMKIT rack mount kit.

STORY:
I have had my UBiQUiTi EdgeRouter LITE for a while now but always wished to have a robust way of being able to install it onto my server rack. On the UBiQUiTi website I saw this rack mount kit, ER-RMKIT, which was designed for EdgeRouter 4 and EdgeRouter 6P. However, in addition to their mounting holes, both of these routers had bigger dimensions than my EdgeRouter LITE. So, I knew if I purchased the rack mount kit, I would need to design a custom adapter for my router. In the end that’s exactly what I did.
I purchased ER-RMKIT from an Amazon vendor for less than $20 shipped. Upon arrival, I started designing an adapter around my router by transferring measurements from both the rack mount kit and the router. For stability, tight tolerances and minimalistic surface features were important.
