This is an interesting design for holding blades, but I wanted to use a more common blade. I found these Olfa blades on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BNXOOU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They were only $5.20 for a pack of 5 blades.
I started with this basic design, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3891353 I adjusted for the width and thickness of the Olfa blades. I adjusted the tool head to hold all of the tang with just the blade exposed. Blade slides in and then you need a 2mm bolt and nut to hold it in place. Design includes a slip on blade cover for when not in use.
The blade is close but not even with the bottom. I find it hard to control for deep cuts or cuts on a long edge. For these you have to raise the blade at an angle to clear the bottom of the holder. This lets the blade dig too deep, or requires a lot of work to control the cut. I can’t think a a better way to do this using this type of blade, so I use it for special situations.
