It was a rainy day. My italian nonna wanted to go out anyway but she was sad because she had to use a crutch instead of her walker, to keep free one hand for the umbrella. I took measurements and quickly designed and 3d printed a umbrella holder for her walker, so she could still use it (and be safer) and not be wet.
The design is for the left tube of the handle. Angles were measured to keep the umbrella vertical and slightly tilted to the center.
Threaded inserts are required, I used M3 5x5 with 12 mm bolts (5 of each). Four are used to close the two parts together, one is used for pinning the assembly to the side tube of the walker.
Walker tube is 2.25 cm diameter, the adaptor is designed to fit an umbrella with 3 cm diameter straight handle.
I added a rubber sheet from and old bicycle inner tube (thickness about 1 mm) at the interface walker tube-adaptor to increase the grip.
Print in vertical position; I used Prusa slicer's organic supports only for the biggest part.
