umbrella stand, base repair, PLUG

This is a repair plug for an umbrella stand. The umbrella is a ten foot diameter outdoor model, and the arm that goes into this base is about eight feet tall. The base that the stand screws into is about three feet across, and is pretty heavy. The bottom threaded piece broke off, and my friend wanted to reprint an entire piece, which is about two feet long, and exceeds the capability of most printers.

After inspecting the component, I felt that a repair plug would work. Did a basic print to verify the cone size, then added the ribs that it would lock into the base, and would not spin when tightening the bolt. The hardware is 3/8"-16.

Friend said it worked great.
