for whatever reason i gave up on these models. they are in various states of completion and should NOT be printed by anyone until they are repaired. if you want to continue working on them, i recommend:
- merge vertices (connect non-manifold edges)
- solidify flat geometry
- convert tris to quads
- remove useless parts you know won't print properly
- mark edge creases
- use subsurf modifier to smooth it out as the final step
its a good learning experience if you have the time, patience and desire to learn something new. unfortunately i no longer do, having solved most challenges presented by the models i worked on.
