3D printing is great, but it tends to produce nasty microplastics and volatile organic compounds such as styrene which can cause health complications with prolonged exposure. Even worse, printer fumes are notoriously difficult to remove without spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a filtration (or HVAC) system that needs new filters every month. That’s why I designed the Universal Printer Exhaust System (UPES). It is designed to be modular and fit a wide range of sliding window sizes and styles. The UPES can be used for the P1S, X1C and H2D printers (it probably fits most enclosed printers). It is extremely insulating for climates like Minnesota where temperatures range from far below freezing to upwards of 100F (37C). The 10% gyroid infill traps air and minimizes heat bridging, which increases insulation in both hot and cold weather. I’ve had this window exhaust system installed for my P1S for well over 6 months and have had flawless prints and even used it during thunder
