Universal Spool - Twist and Lock

This MasterSpool Design is inspired by Richard Horne's masterspool idea to avoid waste and reduce shipping weight. My intention was to reduce the amount of filament and printing time, needed to build this spool. With this in mind I changed the threated locking mechanism to sort of a bayonet catch. I ended up with this lightweight but rigid "Universalspool Twist and Lock". Every spool consists of 3 parts the hub two side parts (same file printed 2 times) futhermore you will need an opening tool. One tool should serve for all your spools Depending on the manufacturer you will need a certain hub size.
