I adapted the euro coin sorting machine to sort united states currency. Mainly quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. When designing this I kept the original design in mind so the two coin filters can be interchanged. If you already printed the euro coin sorter all you really need is the new filter assembly, and the gear you press fit, then you can use your existing setup. The handle and knob should fit into the gear on both designs so you shouldn't need two of those. Enjoy! Assembly: It's fairly easy to assemble, minus some force necessary to press fit the parts together. 1) press fit the gear into the filter assembly. 2) press fit the knob into the crank. 3) take the base and put the tubes in their place. Coin tubes are labeled on the bottom, X (for extras) Q, D, N, P for Quarters, Dimes, Nickels, and Pennies. 4) place the assembled filter on top of the tubes, this will hold them in palce. 5) place the rotating gear on top, the cutout will be on the right side of the circles when putting the gear down. 6) clip the funnel in place opposite the handle as pictured. Operation: When sorting the coins it helps to hold down the hopper funnel (not a lot of pressure, just a little) while rotating the handle. There's a little bit of wiggle room between the gears so when cranking in a counter clockwise motion just keep that in mind and lean a little into the center it will grab the teeth and spin. Don't overload the hopper either, it easily handles around 20-25 coins at a time. If you have issues with coins getting sucks, just place a quarter down flat first and you should be good to go. The fist coin tube is for anything smaller than a dime, and anything larger than a quarter will stay in the hopper funnel.
