USS Defiant

Bring the Defiant home to DS9! Profile of this model (link) to accompany my DS9 profile (link). The original 3d rendering is available CCBY4.0. The default P1S settings print the Defiant at a size that is appropriate to go along with a full size printing of my DS9 profile but is fast and low material usage. Clean up is pretty easy but you lose the detail inside the nacelles. This model is set to print at a low layer height since it is so small but with a standard 0.4 nozzle. This gets you the resolution shown in the pictures. The orientation of the model is because the Defiant is so flat that, regardless of printer settings, adaptive settings, or size, you get noticeable stepping. NOTE: If you choose to print this at the maximum possible size (I have done that too), you cannot get all the support material out of the nacelles. If you print multi-material, you'll probably do better. Unfortunately, I can't put up a good profile for that right now.
