I find it really hard to get the 3 components which make up the Z axis on the V-King perfectly in line. To ease this, I created this simple jig.
The 220mm version is intended for a single Z motor or rod end assembly.
The 95mm version is intended for a dual Z motor when using 3 or 4 Z drives.
For both jigs, use the jig by itself to position the motor mount. To do so, place (or bolt it into a post assembly t-nut, if you wish) and align the fully assembled motor assembly until it just touches one of the two prongs on the jig.
Place the idler spacer on one of the two prongs and then repeat with the side of the idler bracket. Make sure that the wider side of the spacer is facing the idler.
Place the top spacer on one of the two prongs and then repeat with the top assembly.
Repeat the whole process on the other side making sure to start from the same side of the printer. You can use either side, just remain consistent.
