These are small tiles to explore the recently discovered tile pattern nick named “the Vampire Einstein”, which can cover an infinite plane without overlaps or gaps, but never repeats. For decades, finding a shape that tiles (without overlapping and without any gaps) and never repeats was considered mathematically impossible. Many mathematicians have tried and failed. Until one day, a retired printing plant technician, David Smith, discovered this shape cutting sheets of paper. The Vampire Einstein is a new shape based on David Smith’s “the hat”.Happy Tiling!Inspired by an article I read recently: https://gizmodo.com/upgraded-vampire-einstein-shape-finally-solves-vexing-1850487235 https://www.digitec.ch/en/page/vampire-tile-replaces-the-einstein-28090
