A one-part velcro strip cutter. Made out of frustration with velcro cable ties not reliably staying on cables.
Uses 10mm dual-side velcro tape and standard Stanley 11-300 blades, which just slot in. Each single blade slots in to the model base. Depending on your printer's tolerances, blades may need a drop of glue or holes widened to a small degree. When bladed, simply feed the tape through the rear feed over the blade tips, into the forward feed slot, and out the front. Close the lid and snap shut. The cutter makes two slits for threading the pointed head. This allows the tie to wrap thinner USB leads (3mm) up to HDMI leads (6mm).
When cut, simply pull the tape away to leave the head behind in the V blade set, for next time. When removed correctly, the whole tie should have a "V" shaped tail. Pull away any dross from cut the corners. To apply to a cable, wrap first and sightly stretch. The target slit will open slightly and allow you to thread the tip point through. Pull it th
