Venus Willenbuckle

This is a collage of Venus of Willlendorf, by 3Dmigos and Simple Buckles, by keyjay. I chose to mash the Venus, an ancient fertility goddess representation, with the functional object that holds up one's pants. I find it humorous to both glorify and poke fun at the importance of this historical sculpture by mashing it with a belt buckle that is usually associated with machismo personas. Cowboys, superheroes, and other masculine characters come to mind when thinking of the over-exaggerated belt buckle. I made a belt buckle that both objectifies and celebrates this feminine fertility object.
