I wanted a microscope slide holder that printed quickly and stored slides as compactly as possible, so I designed this. It takes me about 25 minutes to print a holder for 21 slides. If you want to store them more securely, print two boxes and install one on each end of the slides (provided your labels don't interfere with the frame).
I've provided frames to hold 5, 11, 15, and 21 slides. I've also included the `.f3d` file which is parametric, so you can open it in Fusion 360 and edit the numbers as you like. Note that the number of slides should **always be an odd number** because the design works by placing a slot into the center and then expanding symmetrically outwards.
Fits glass slides up to 77×26×1.2 mm, and holds them about 1.7 mm apart.
