Very Simple RC Plane Canopy Latch

The latch on my 3dhs Edge 540 48" decided to disappear in flight. I designed this to quickly replace it.

It is 8mm wide, 12mm tall and 25 mm long. the latch handle is 5mm deep and 12mm tall.

the holes are slightly under-sized so will need to be drilled out to fit a piece of wire or whatever you have on hand.

I used 2mm thick carbon fiber rod as the pin and a spring from a ball point pen. If you drill the holes out at the right size then no glue is needed for assembly.

Print the latch handle with the flat side down so no supports are needed and the layer strength is perpendicular to the direction of travel.
