Veteran dwarves who have seen everything the world can throw at them: every kind of foe, every kind of battlefield, every kind of disaster—and walked away the victors. Their beards are singed by dragonfire, their shields scarred by trolls’ claws and black powder, their armour patched with trophies hammered from enemy steel. The gods are said to favour them, but they don’t hide behind omens or prayers; they trust in their own stubborn will, in the weight of their hammers and the thickness of their skulls. Loud, brawling, defiant, they laugh in the face of fear, of commanders, of kings and doom itself. They bow to no insult, leave no challenge unanswered and never, ever keep their mouths shut when someone claims the battle is already lost. Veteran Dwarves.
