A well-known solution to dampen sound from 3D printers is placing them on a concrete slab with a dampening material underneath, such as rubber or foam. I wanted to implement this modification but wasn't fond of its appearance. That's why I made this mold, which will create a slab perfectly suited for P1 and X1 series printers CNC Kitchen made a terrific video on this matter, titled: "Seriously the BEST $2 3D printer upgrade!"AssemblyYou will need about 5.5 liters (1.5 gallons) of concreteI recommend using a thick silicone-like adhesive for this project. (I used Fix & Seal Invisible RK)Taping the edges as shown in the picture is recommended.Additionally, I created a metal mesh box to act as rebar. Before painting, I used some wood filler and filler primer to get a smooth finish. For dampening, I used LouMaxx anti-slip mat washing machine 4 pcs 10cm*10cm (Amazon).
