This is an intentionally over-engineered vibration damper developed to address excessive vibration during desktop testing. I keep an A1 Mini on my desk for design validation, and its vibrations became a persistent distraction, which prompted the development of this solution. Multiple design iterations and permutations were evaluated, and this configuration proved to be the most effective. The original concept was designed as a single, monolithic part; however, even with the use of specialised support materials, complete support removal was impractical. As a result, the design was revised into a three-part assembly that is bonded using cyanoacrylate (super glue). Once installed, the printer may exhibit a slight floating sensation. This is intentional and indicative of effective vibration isolation. By absorbing and damping transmitted vibrations, the system ultimately results in improved print quality and a more stable operating environment.
