My vice turned out great and i had very minor problems. I used my angled cutters that came with my printer to clean up the threads so it would rotate better and wasn't any binding. When I put the vise together i put my drill on the screw holding the worm gear(hand crank) and turned it clockwise fastly to run through the gears and knocked all the rough spots down so it would turn by hand easier. Another note- I'm talking about the screw on the underside of the vice that goes through the spacer to hold the worm drive. When i did this eventually the screw stripped out so the drill wouldn't turn it. So I made this adapter to put a drill into the top and turn it back and forth fastly to clean the gears up and to get to your destination faster and then fine tune with the handle. I wouldn't recommend doing this until after you've ran the drill and went all the way through the gears endpoints but I added Teflon lubricant after this step and turning the handle was so effortless.
