Vintage Door Handle Replacement

Replacement part for wooden door handles I have at home. They kept unscrewing and loosing, so I thought I could create a handle in two half so that I could first screw the metallic part and put the handle after, gluing the two parts.

Seems to work great so far, to see in the long run.
