A friend asked me to recreate a vintage sign of Sunoco Petrol. So, here's the recipe of what I did...
Basically I :
- Based on a picture, I designed an image in Photoshop,
- split the image, 1 image per color,
- exported the images in png (to keep the transparency),
- convert png images to svg,
- imported the svgs into Tinkercad,
- put a different height for each color,
- resized to desired size,
- grouped all images into one,
- exported in stl,
- sliced with PrusaSlicer and used the color change function at the desired layer,
- sent the gcode to the printer,
Easy!
