I designed a custom mount for some security cameras around the house after finding that the affordable yet high-quality ones I bought on Amazon didn’t have a suitable option. To minimize intrusion on the vinyl siding, I made a hook-style piece that fits into the J-Channel, and it’s been working perfectly. I suggest using ASA or any weather-resistant filament (I used PETG). The design allows the camera to slide in and rest on the siding under its own weight, and for extra wind protection, you can use a command strip or something similar to keep it steady. I also made the supports easy to remove in the file since the model is fairly flexible.
