Vinyl Window Trim Insert Template

We recently had our windows replaced with new vinyl ones that have a trim that ‘clicks’ into the window frame to make it super easy to install. We were wanting to replace the trim with something custom but wanted to use the same click-rail system to attach it. So I took a piece of the existing trim, measured the heck out of it and made a test piece I could then use as a basis for clips I attach to the new trim, or if your printer is big enough, to extrude with a new profile and print whole trim pieces.This is just a template to get you started and to test the fit. Your windows may be different, but if the profile looks similar to what your existing vinyl trim looks like, it's worth a print to try it.As this is a template, the front ‘face’ of it (the part facing into the room) is just flat. The important part is the arrow shaped nub and the little standoff tab arcoss from it. Anything outside this “important area” can be edited freely. You could shorten the thickness and print multi
