Show off your love for machining! A phone stand inspired by vises. It holds phones firmly in landscape view. Holds phones from 80 to 360 degrees.
BOM:
1 M5 socket head screw
1 M5 Nut
1 M3 socket head screw
Design:
The screw threads were designed to be very thick and robust. Threads are slightly chamfered to improve printability. The clamp rides on dovetail grooves. The clamp's dovetails are slightly narrower and on a different angle so the fit better on the vise. The clamping surfaces were knurled to help with grip. Center of mass was heavily considered in the creation of the design.
Tips:
Screw might be too tight, either run the screw and clamp under hot water while turning, or use a lubricant.
Print our the Vise screw file if you want to use it as a normal vise
