Vive Lighthouse Collapsible Stand

This is a collapsible stand for the Vive Lighthouses that come in the Vive VR system. It turns out that the Vive does not actually require the Lighthouses to be mounted above the user as is recommended in the setup guide; the Lighthouses can be placed on the floor, provided that they are connected electrically for synchronization. These stands can be used together with the TRS 50' sync cable which comes with the system to reduce set-up and tear-down complexity.

Each stand consists of a central base, printed in three parts, and four legs. The legs rotate and lock into the base to provide a sturdy footing for the Lighthouses. The base is compatible with the screw thread and ball size of the original Vive system wall mounts (take the screw cap, ball-and-shaft, and wing nut from the wall mounts and attach them to these printed parts).
