This is a custom flight stack mount for the Volantex Phoenix 1600.
The Phoenix 1600 is an amazing RC glider, especially for its price. However, CG and space constraints mean that the electronics need to be mounted in the rear of the canopy. This area has decent space, but it's quite hard to access to tinker. It's certainly enough to mount a standard receiver, but if you want to use a full flight stack, it's almost impossible to assemble with the restricted access !
Hence this thing. With this mount, the stack is assembled **outside** of the plane, and then it slides in place as one piece.
The shape of the adapter plate fits the fuselage shape perfectly. The recesses around the holes make it "pop in place" with the holes aligned with the ones from the fuselage. Then, original screws are used to secure the adapter plate in place (though i'd recommend moving to hex screws for easier removal).
The fuselage mount is modular and not designed for a particular part. This means you can reus
