Replacement feet for IKEA Volfgang dining room chair
=========================================
### Background
The legs of our IKEA Volfgang dining room chairs were scratching up the hardwood floors pretty badly. The metal legs have plastic "feet", but they are quite narrow and hard. Since they have a curved bottom, felt pads wouldn't stick, so I designed my own.
### Model
The model matches the curve, cross section and screw-hole of the original plastic feet but have a tapered profile widening towards the bottom and, most importantly, have a flat bottom. This provides a better surface to stick a felt pad to.
### Issues / Remarks
The little plastic pin admittedly breaks off easily, depending on the material used and print process, etc. Even if does break off, the feet still stay in place.
I should point out that when mounted, the bottom is not perfectly parallel to the ground, so I wouldn't recommend using this foot without a felt pad underneath.
