Volvo key tag replacement case

This case replaces the ‘key tag’ case for modern Volvos. The original car is plastic welded shut and so is destroyed when you try replace the battery. This case lets you still have the small form factor without shelling out hundreds to Volvo for a new key. **Please note, this case will not retain the waterproof properties of the original case!** This is for those who are like me, who prefer a less bulky key for their keyring

The 8 screws are m1.4 4.5mm. Alternatively you can glue it together and just replace the case when you need a new battery. The replacement battery can be bought off eBay with the tabs already welded on, so you just need to desolder the original battery from the board. Don’t get a cr2032 and solder directly to it. That can lead to a bad day.
