Voxelize is an OpenSCAD module that you can use to create voxel art out of other models.
To use you'll want to find the minimum and maximum point that is the corners of a box that would contain your model. Pass these points to the voxelize function as p0 and p1. pass in a step (i.e. voxel size) and an optional overlap (important for making it printable). The procedure will take several minutes depending on the steps and complexity of the model. You may get a few warnings during processing; this is normal. Excessive warnings can mean your volume is much larger than it needs to be. If you are getting errors, it is possible that your model is too complex to be processed. Try reducing the complexity of your model with MeshMixer or your favorite capable app.
There are two examples included.

Tips:
* Use overlap of about 0.2 to be sure mode
