VX8 21700 Battery

This is the case for a VX8 battery. It requires a circuit board, Kicad Source here: https://github.com/cculpepper/VX8Battery . It works pretty great.

Big gotchas: Make sure to use protected cells, as the radio is directly connected, and make sure the back of the PCB is insulated well, see the instructions on the github page.

BOM cost is probably around 30$, but the addition of USBC charging, I think, makes up for that.

Printing:
I found the best results printing a little lower height at 0.16mm, this leaves more walls for the clips. I designed this to not need supports but YMMV, and you might need a file to adjust.
