W124 Hood Release Cable Clip

This small clip is used to mount the hood release cable clip to the underside of the front upper cross member, just above the driver side headlight (passenger side on RHD cars).

The original part is not the best design as it tends to fall off at the slightest touch due to having no locking pin, and the locking tabs being tiny. Both of these issue were addressed in my take on it, and tested on a real car with great result.

The locking pin has 0.05mm clearance, and will be a very tight fit. You may want to play with scaling it down a little to loosen it up.
