This quadcopter consists of two printed parts. Print the wheel part that holds the motor 4 times and the center star once. assemble with screws.
This is fairly rough a this point. Center star withmounting holes and proper wall height updated now.. I will publish other updates as I make them. I will consider ideas.
I used ZTW 2208 1200 KV motors with built in ESC and 7x3.9 props. Flight controller is currently a CC3D atom. 14 minute flight time on 3S 2200 Lipo. Full up weight is 615 grams with 196 of that being the 2.2 AH battery.
I flew quite a bit as is (square, not folding) and now have a version working with hinges for folding. See picture. file cleanup in process and should be up within a week after some test prints.
8/20/2016 update. Refreshed with latest versions that have a 50mm wide center box for electronics. The simple star (folding_Quad_Star_R3) need only be printed if you want to assemble a simple square version that does not fold.
