Makes
When I moved a light switch, I was left with an unsightly hole in the wall where the old electrical box used to be. Instead of doing a full patch and repaint job, I designed and 3D printed this simple snap-in wall cover.
This part is designed to cleanly cover standard switch box holes (⌀ 67 mm), often left behind after renovations or relocations.
The cover includes:
- A circular insert that fits into the wall hole,
- A square faceplate to conceal the edges around the hole.
📐 Dimensions
Cylinder diameter: 67 mm
Cylinder depth: 20 mm
Faceplate size: 80 x 80 mm
Faceplate thickness: 2 mm
You can easily modify the dimensions in your slicer if needed.
🖨️ Print Settings
Material: PLA (white recommended for a clean look)
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 15%
Supports: No
Print time: ~1 hour
🧩 Installation
Insert the cylindrical part into the hole. You can use glue, double-sided tape, or simply press-fit depending on the wall texture and tolerance.
